The Judge's restaurant, the adjoining Judgement Hall Stage, along with a large awning set outside to handle the overflow and those who preferred pic-nicking, drew in the crowd for Nashville's First Annual Testicle Festival. We might have been surrounded by city streets rather than ranches and open ranges, but the fun and the spirit of the western style event were there. The menu for the day was a plate of the Judge's renowned smoked brisket, along with potato salad and western beans. The optional side order was a plate of calf, lamb and turkey "fries," also known as "prairie oysters." Six bands entertained - from opening act, Galen Griffin to headliner, Wade Hayes. Owner Aubrey Bean surprised Wade on stage with a guitar-shaped birthday cake, a gift from northwest Georgia fans, Dawn, Kellie and Nancy. It was a beautiful day for a Spring festival, especially one with lots of great music and fun.
